Color Portrait

 

    For my color portrait I decided to go for a sticker look using solid colors and also doing it digitally! I really liked how it turned out, its something that I had worked with before so I have had practice with the media. For my five colors I chose nudes and just made the look minimalistic, I think that's one of the words that best describes me, I like everything for the most part to be clean cut and subtle. Brown is one of my favorite colors not only because I absolutely love the way it looks which is sadly an unpopular opinion but also because it describes me in a great way and I used a few shades of it in my piece, brown signifies various things like being down to earth, structure and stability and also protection and support of family which is huge to me! I also chose the color white because apart from loving it it also describes me in a great way, it resembles purity, innocence, brightness, spiritual and so on and I would say that I would associate myself with those. Another color that I used was grey, grey is a very sad color and like everyone we all feel sadness at times and that's completely normal so I think that grey really signifies some tough times I've had in my life that at times we just have to embrace. Lastly I used black, I associate myself with black because it signifies power and I love to think of myself as a powerful women and individual in general. Overall, I really enjoyed the assignment and really having to put thought into my work and the colors I used!
