Collage
For my collage I wanted to incorporate every element but I also wanted to keep it very aesthetically pleasing, I love all my work to have a sort of theme and look nice all together so I chose colors that went together so for my color images I used the lit up sign with the yellow letters and tied that together with the image on the bottom that's almost like a tunnel, a lot of the images I used served a double purpose, they have quiet a few elements within them which is why I decided not to label and group them together but more so spread them out and have everything compliment each other. I also used browns like in the 3D sculpture that's to the left and there's quiet a few hues of brown on the top of the paper as well, lastly for color I used some green in the flowers on two of the corners of the paper and also black and white all throughout the piece. To show the texture element I used the pictures at the top, one of them being pieces of rustic wood, the white geometric image and the other being a mans beard because I think that's a great way to portray texture, personally just thinking about a beard I can already imagine what it'll feel like so I think that that really helps get the element across. For the line element I used the image on the left where its a ongoing line of a women and also the word style that's at the front. For the shape element I used the shape and forms at towards the bottom of the page and also the 3D sculpture on the left, they're both very obvious shapes and really clean cut so I like how obvious it is what element they're meant to show. For value I used the sphere that's towards the middle of the piece, it has a lot of different value with all the different pressure applied to make all these different greys and all the shading shown in the image really shows the element of value. For the space element I used the images towards the bottom where the faces are looking towards each other, I really love that image because the space allows you to see two faces looking at each other but also see a sort of hourglass which is what's really cool about the element space. Lastly for pattern I used a background with lots of lines but it ended up getting covered so I also used more patterns on the corner and edges of the paper, its a very detailed pattern and does a great job signifying pattern. Overall I really enjoyed creating my collage and incorporating the elements, I'm very pleased with how it turned out.
